Mount Etna Erupts!
It's been nearly 350 years since Mt. Etna erupted in a major way... Until yesterday, when Europe's largest active volcano spewed hot lava for two hours...
Wow!
Was it a premonition that ArtRebel happen to post a picture out of the blue of Mt Etna slumbering but a few short days beforehand? woah... weird.
It is very lucky that no one was hurt! I hope the nice fennel sausage stand man is ok! Those were the best sausages in Sicily and they could only be found on the rim of the volcano. I suspect the stand exists no more.

Monkey King & The Tower of Mars
Art Rebellion #28
This art-collaboration piece was created by selecting three tarot cards, and associating their images onto the drawing. The Monkey King started out as Leo the Lion, but quickly Monkey King asserted himself and became that part of the image. Mars, the Tower, with lightning striking is seen by two kissing whales as the black bird of the tower flies over head.
Monkey King is an agent of Dramatic Transformations, and so it is fitting that he should appear on the card with the Tower. He made a career of knocking over established powers, such as when he attacked the Jade Emperor's Court.
We also noted that the drawing can be viewed sensibly in three orientations. Monkey King at the bottom, the way it is now, or with the tower at the bottom. Each of the three orientations presents a coherent symmetry and balanced composition. The collaboration aspect was quite fun, as she was very free spirited and easy to art with. So thank you Collaboratress! Very nicely done! :)
